Kari Hartman is an Associate at Hathaway & Kunz where she assists in diverse practice areas.  She is licensed in the state courts for Wyoming and Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

Kari is a Wyoming native, born and raised in Cheyenne.  She studied political science and public relations at the University of Wyoming, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 2016.  While earning her degree, Kari served as an intern for U.S. Senator Michael B. Enzi.  After graduating, Kari worked as a legal assistant for domestic violence cases before attending law school.

During law school, Kari was on the editorial board of the University of Wyoming’s law review where she edited student articles for publication.  Kari also interned for the Consumer Protection Division of the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office during the summer of her first year in law school.  She graduated law school with honors in 2020 and is a member of the Order of the Coif.

Following her law school graduation, Kari served as a term law clerk for the Honorable Alan B. Johnson at the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming. 

Prior to joining Hathaway & Kunz, Kari worked for another regional law firm, assisting on various litigation and transactional matters.

In her free time, Kari enjoys playing music and golfing.
