Dickinson Shares Expertise at Franchising 101

Lee Dickinson recently presented a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program through the Wyoming State Bar to area lawyers on the booming growth of business franchises.
The one-hour program was attended by practicing lawyers to develop a greater understanding of franchises and the laws and regulations that affect them. The program addressed common questions such as: What is a franchise? Why do businesses choose to grow via franchising? How are franchises regulated?
Prior to joining Hathaway & Kunz, Mr. Dickinson was Senior Counsel at Dollar General Corporation, a publicly-traded Fortune 200 retailer with more than 12,000 locations in the U.S. Drawing on his expertise in transactional and franchising law, Mr. Dickinson offered guidance for general practitioners who may encounter franchise-related issues.
At Hathaway & Kunz, we’re proud to have the finest legal minds with diverse specialties and Mr. Dickinson is one of those. As a result, we are able to offer the best counsel to our small business and corporate clients. More broadly, by sharing our expertise as Mr. Dickinson did, we are also to help Wyoming’s growing business community and burgeoning entrepreneurs succeed.
